KeymasterIt would appear that the past few years of me and some others on here (you know who you are ;)) droning on about sh1t quality products from God knows where tailored to a price hasn’t been entirely wasted. On top of which the work done by many that have supported ISE and worked on its behalf appears to be being vindicated, at least from the feedback I’m getting.
We have a few trade pre-orders for ISE10 which is gratifying as we know that it’s a good product. Hell, anyone that would disagree with that on Asko produced machines is plainly not quite right in the head, especially when you compare it to a lot of the other cr4p out there.
But what has surprised me massively is the level of public interest in ISE10 and, we haven’t even got the damn things yet, which is extremely annoying but now hopefully sorted after a little trip to Sweden last week. But this interest is actually to teh level of we have people that have ordered machines and are awaiting them and a couple that have actually paid for them and are still prepared to wait rather than go to Miele or whoever. That’s impressive.
My guess is that, as the title suggests, that we’ve touched a nerve with people and that they are looking for a good, well built and sensible machine. Importantly though it proves that people are perfectly willing to pay for that. Which would, in turn, suggest that a lot of people out there don’t want throw-away junk and I think that we have, to an extent, proved that already with the ISE5. But the level of public interest in ISE10 is far, far higher than it was at the start with the 5’s.
When we originally priced up the machines I was driving to Wales, well I was parked up at Morrisons in Bangor actually so technically there already and I recall thinking to myself, “sh1t, £650 for a dryer, who’s gonna pay that when you can get a sensor-condenser for £300 or less”, I was wrong. We’ve had a fair old bit of interest in the dryer, less so than the washer obviously, but all the same for the “summer” (:)) I’ve been pretty much taken aback by the interest and orders for them.
It just proves, people will pay for quality products and that people will pay for quality service and care. We do all of those, in spades. The indies always have.
The difference is, we now have a product that we can truly say is, if not the best performing and built machines on the market today, they’re so close to being just that, that it makes no difference but, the after sales care is beyond reproach.
That is what I always sought with the ISE project. IMO we, the indies, are again on top and represent the best the industry has to offer in all ways.
I can’t wait to get started with the 10’s.

Well said. Lots of interest in the washer (Leaflets, leaflets, leaflets……). Dryer has been a bit of a hard sell to date. At the moment it is such a jump in perceived pricing compared to the usual tosh that I haven’t got a pitch for it. Perhaps Hoppy can advise on Friday?
Is there a “package price” for the ISE10 washer and dryer together?
Today, I even had a customer enquiring as to whether an UberDishwasher might appear in time for Christmas!

Thanks Chris.
To answer the points…
Brochures I’m only awaiting UK stock for photography, after that it’s a green light to get good quality leaflets ASAP.
Pitch for the dryer, talk to John and/or me on Thurs/Fri.
Package price, yes, John has a deal there when they are ordered as a set. He worked something out for you all but I forget what it was.
Dishwasher, I’m working on John and the Swedes to get before Xmas, ideally during November so we have stock for the usual distress 12 for Xmas dinner and the dishwasher’s on the fritz brigade. 😉
