Hi All,
Machine takes in water and doesn’t do anything with it. Eventually, the “end” light starts flashing. It flashes in groups of 5. The instruction sheet mentions the flashing of the end light, but only explains 4 options. 5 flashes aren’t mentioned at all.
The water pumps out if the dial is moved around to drain, but even that cycle goes no further as the door mechanism never releases to allow the door to open. The “end” light doesn’t flash on this occasion as it never gets to come on.
The drum never spins, water doesn’t heat up and there is no visible reason for any problem. Can’t find any blockages. I did think that it was a bit strange to feel a 1.25 inch plastic ball inside the hose going from the drum to the outlet pump, but assumed that it was supposed to be in there.
I see mention of reset codes etc etc, but what are these and how are they input?
Glad of any clues from you geniuses as this machine is out to get me!

the large ball you mention is right as for the problem with what you have said it sounds like it could be a heater problem sorry i dont know what the fault code you mention is. hope this might point you in the right direction but remember un plug this appliance if you are going to investigate.

Thanks for that. The element seems ok, but I’ll investigate further. The meanings of these flashing lights and codes seem to be closely guarded secrets!

I think it disgusting that the manufacturers will not give details as to the interpretation of flashing lights and other codes. When requesting details from Electrolux etc…, the only information that they will give me is a contact number for the local authorised engineer.
It would be easier to extract classified information from the CIA.
It’s a good job that this situation doesn’t exist in the motor trade as companies like Halfords would close down.

No need to call the CIA, just tell me how many flashes the ‘Start/Pause’ light flashes? I already know that the ‘End’ light flashes 4 times but that is only half the equation in this case. 😉

I never noticed the start/pause flashing – must go and have a look!
In the meantime, after sending a few “begging” emails to Electrolux, I got a reply that 5 flashes means problems with The Motor/Motor Brush heads/PCB/
I’m going to have to grin and bear the call-out charge and hope that’s all it’s going to cost. If I can steal the engineers equipment and beat the codes out of him, it’ll all be on Ebay next week, with a very high reserve.
