Timer advances constantly when W/M switched on, had this on a Zanussi when the Tacho came out of the Sole motor, this one has a Ceset motor and it’s ok, I think it’s a timer fault but any views would be of help.

    Thanks

I would still suspect a faulty tacho generator, or maybe the magnet has come unscrewed from the armature. If all appears OK, then it probably is the timer as it is the timer/module control everything type by the looks of it.

Faulty drain pump can cause similar problems. Hope this helps. 🙂

Thanks for all the info lads, I checked them all out and it would appear it is the Timer, again due to cost of replacement timer V new machine the customer opted for a new machine,no surprise there then !!!

    Thanks again

Had a customer on the phone just now about one of these “finishing the programme in 15 minutes”. Clothes still wet I think she said. Has anyone had any further experiences of this fault?

Classic fault on this model – change timer and all is solved. We of course stock them. Tony EMW
