My Tricity Bendix AW1201W (7 years old) has started to leak dirty black water from the drum bearings/seal at the back of the machine.

Are any special tools needed to remove the old bearings and fit the new ones? Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions for removal and fitting so I can assess whether this is a job that I want to tackle?

A challenging task for you. The complete tub assembly has to be removed. Springs off, hoses off, dampers off. Then drag it out and then split the two halves to access the drum before yanking that out. Once you reach that stage the bearings are clearly accessible. Reassemble in the reverse order.

    Have fun! 😀
