    Select 40 degree wash and it will fill, tumble a couple of times then sit and heat the water. But it keeps heating and the timer does not advance.
    This machine has a mechanical timer and a module at the back. The temp sensor is an ntc which I think is ok as it was around 25k with cold water in and went down to 2.5k when the water was heated. Could it be the module? Or timer?

    Any thoughts please?

    Probably the holding solenoid on the timer has failed (assuming you have checked the NTC resistance at the timer?) then it’s new timer time. Check with EMW electronics if still available ( though a costly fix for sure) 🙁
