Our Bendix BIW105W washing machine got near the end of a cycle, but didn’t appear to drain or spin. I emptied the remaining water out through the drainage hose and cleared the pump impeller, but it now won’t go. No matter which programme I turn the switch to, the normal lights come on, but when I press the start button the lights turn off and the “end” button flashes four times (then pauses, then flashes 4 times etc ad infinitum).
We’ve tried turning it off and on (hey, it works for computers…), we’ve checked the pump filter, and we’ve flushed it out with hot water and descaler(which brought out some icky gunk, but didn’t fix it.)
Can anyone tell me what the end light flashing 4 times means, and more importantly, how to fix it?
