Tricity Bendix single oven. Model BS621.

Heats for ten minutes or so then oven cuts out completely including the clock. Fault traced to the overheat stat on the back of the oven cavity – replaced stat – still the same. The cut out stat on the top air duct is working OK and the fan activating stat switches the cabinet cooling fan on and keeps it running. Cabinet cooling fan running well (a bit greasy but seems OK).
Why oh why does the oven keep cutting out? 👿 If all stats check out and fan is OK; what next?

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Steve.

When the oven goes dead are you still getting live & neutral at the T/block?. Ive had this problem when the oven is supplied by a plug and socket, and the socket is breaking down under load.

No, this is hard wired and if you short out the cut out on the back of the oven cavity it starts up again. This is really strange because the cooling fan only cools the top of the cavity and not the back. 😕 I can’t think of an answer to this.
    Thanks anyway, Goose,

    Steve.
