Hi, have to return on a TB cooker (sorry, lost the model no ). It needs a fan motor part number: 3115211017.
The last one I repaired took me a while as the original mounting screws (posi-head) were corroded. Any advice on this?
Also it’s difficult to mount the new fan motor as you need 3 hands or a helpful customer, again any tips?

    Thanks

Locate your screwdriver in the screw heads and tap several times with a hammer. This slightly compresses the grip washer and ‘shocks’ the screw just enough to undo it relatively easily. Be sure your screwdriver head is in good condition to minimise slipping in the screwhead.(Zanussi mostly use Philips head screws NOT pozidriv). 😉
To locate the motor you can use a mole wrench set just to ‘pinch’ motor shaft. (NOT the threaded bit!!) With one hand, offer up the motor and push shaft through back panel of the oven. With the other hand you then grip the motor shaft as close to the back panel (inside the oven) as you can. (your arms will just reach). Motor can then be swiveled around to locate screw holes. 8)

get some 50 or 60 mm long screws cut the heads off screw in a few turns then push the motor in from behind. it will hold on the screws and can be pulled from inside it lines up perfectly and one at a time take out the studs from the inside and put in the screws.
just like fitting an o.c.v. on a 3174…. sad old bu###r!!!!
