tricity bendix dishwasher

i have a 3 year old DH101 dishwasher which as just developed its first fault if i put in on the main wash cycle no 3 it starts the drain pump runs and the heating element gets hot but no water comes in but if i put it on the rinse cycle the water is let in any ideas anyone please

a bit strange…the water control system is the same for both wash and rinse….may just be a blockage somewhere thats shifting about, after all if the element is coming on then the machine has registered (erroneously) that it has a full charge of water.

would there be any reason why this only happens on the main cycle if i open the door the element is red hot but there is no water in there the other 3 programs are ok but you cant use it without the main wash cycle

These Zanussi clones are rife with “not filling” problems, normally down to blockages and/or air locks.

There are various modifications for them to resolve these problems.

Best bet is ask an engineer to look at it for you as none of the above are DIY jobs to be honest.

if it really comes to that i will but with the price of new washers coming down that might be the option the postcode is GL16

Dunno if Green & Burton Services on 01454 414531 cover GL16 but they do do a load of GL codes and are liable to know of someone in the area if they don’t cover it.
