ParticipantHi
I have a Tricity Bendix DH090 dishwasher that last night developed the following fault…
It will drain and fill but then you can hear the water swishing around but it apears that spray blades seem to move when you quickly open the door.
I can still hear the machine taking in the water for quite a while then it all just stops and the timer aswell just stops with no ticking.
It does this on all programs, but will drain its just that it takes in water for longer than usual then when the blades should kick in it just stops.
Does this sound like the motor has gone, or is it likley that the pressure switch has developed a fault and when its stopping its actually the flood protection thats kicking in as it does seem to be filling more than it usually does.
I just hope its not the timer, please no.
I striped my other model which was a DH086 so can interchange parts just wanted your advice as you may have come across this before.
Thanks 😉

BLUE TUBES problem. Fill will be shutting off on the pneumatic flood protection, rather than the pressure switch (which would activate the timer and the motor).

Thanks Penguin, I will look at the blue tubes and follow the advice on your link.

The blue tubes were full of gunk, Cleaned them all and its still the same.
The machine fills and when the timer moves to the part where the motor should kick in to start washing it just carries on filling for about 3 mins than it just shuts off and nothing else happens.
It is draining ok just overfilling then shutting off.
Is there anything else to check.
Thanks

Checked the horse shoe and its clear, I also tested the prssure switch and thats opening and closing normally when i blow air down
Anything else that i could be checking, I hope its not the timer does this send the signals to the various components or does it “listen” for the componants to send signals to the timer.
Its not digital its a mechanical timer.
Thanks again.

Hi.
It is extremely unlikely to be the timer. More likely that if the syphon tubes & hoses are clear that the air chamber is internally blocked. I usually pour boiled water down the chamber to clear any muck. If that doesn’t work, the sump may need changing.
