The main oven on my Tricity Bendix BD913/2W double oven is not working.
The problem actually started last year when during cooking the neon light went out and the oven cooled down. I turned it off and on again using the control knob and the neon came back on and the oven started working again. Over the next few weeks this happened several times but I always got it working again by operating the control knob a few times. Since then it’s worked fine until now. I’ve tried what I did before but apart from an occasional flicker from the neon the oven’s dead. The fan works OK and so does the oven light.
I’m assuming that the fault is caused by a faulty thermostat. I’ve checked the timer and it’s set to manual so I don’t think that’s the problem. Does anyone think the problem is caused by something else?
I can’t find a replacement stat online possibly because it’s a discontinued model. Can anyone help please? Product number is 944171070.
