I have a electric Tricity Bendix slip in ceramic cooker SE335W / Serial no 50200218. Last night the front left hob element stopped working, no smells, or bangs, just not working.
    My questions are.
    1. Where can I get a repair/maintenace manual for it.
    2. Where can I get a replacement.
    3. How do you lift the hob to get to the elements.
    4. How easy/difficult is it for my husband to replace.

My husband has always repaired my other electric cookers and this is the first ceramic one we have had, we bought it in 2005.
I would be grateful for any advice or help that you can give.

No repair manuals can be given to general public i’m afraid its against forum rules, if your hubby has repaired cookers before he should be able to do this type also, power off first of course.
He should check the switch controlling the element thats failed, they are more likely to go faulty than the element. Spares are widely available online.

Hi Seamy, my son has tested the control switch and yes it has gone.
When putting in the make and model no for the cooker, up pops an energy regulator and also a heat control switch. They are both different to look at, so whats the difference.

If you post the (PNC) 9 digit product number & (ELC)00 etc, of the appliance it will help us identify the part you require. There probably were different controls used across the range, some which are used from a certain production code.
