Following clearing a totally blocked filter on my daughter’s drier, the machine will now only start and run provided the ‘ON’ button is pushed and held in manually. The solenoid close to the timer does not latch.

Is there a thermostat / cutout to be replaced?

    Thanks!!!

Thanks Quick Fix. The solenoid operates when the srart button is pushed in, but it does not latch in position. The means that when the start button is released, the solenoid drops out. Is ther another part of the circuit which keeps the solenoid engaged, e.g. the timer?????
