This cooker trips the main circuit breaker in the house whenever the main high grill is switched off. The grill actually works perfectly without any problems until it is switched off or switched on to the low grill.

I have disconnected the yellow lead from the leftmost terminal (looking at rear of cooker). This obviously disables the high power grill element, but also prevents tripping the breaker.

Is this the element that is faulty or could it be something else?

Where can I get a wiring diagram for this cooker please?

    Any help greatfully received.

    Cheers

    Hi Lee
Did you get any response for your circuit diagram request for the Tricity Sovereign Cooker 4638.?
I too am having problems re a complete shut down of power probably a thermal cut out somewhere (not as in your case of the CB tripping out)
I think a circuit daig would help me locate fault.
Any help would be appreciated. John

There is a cut out on these appliances.

It might be cutting out due to the small mesh filter being blocked that feeds the cooling fan.

This requires the right hand side panel removing to investigate, where a ducting to the cooling fan can be seen, the filter is at the bottom of the trunking. After that its a choice between faulty fan and too much dust.

    Power off first.
