I also have a Tricity Sovereign model 4638 but the oven controller appaers to have gone U/S.
If the parts are no longer available for these ovens would you consider breaking your unit for spares? 😕

The fan in the back of my Tricity Sovereign 4638 (the one visible through the bottom oven is running slowly (despite servicing). I am looking for a replacement. If you (cheerful or ticcy_tickford) are breaking the oven, I’d be interested in a replacment fan.

To Paul + Ticcy
As the cooker apart from one halogen hob is perfectly OK I have no intentions of breaking for spares, however if either of you two decide to scrap your cookersI will be interested,

Sorry, but I’ve just ordered a new fan motor for mine, which should get it going again for the time being, so ours won’t be scrapped for the time being….!

Thanks for your post, Dave … that makes me feel less “Cheerful” as I’ve just shelled out £41 with Spares R Us for the fan motor. Having said that, it hasn’t arrived yet and if it doesn’t do so in the next couple of days, I will cancel the order and order the fan motor from the online shop at £25.
For what it’s worth, Cheerful, the web address is http://www.sparesrus.co.uk, but I’ve had a look and they don’t have any of the halogen light heat areas, which is the part that you were looking for, wasn’t it?
Good luck with your search!

No, I was refering to the fan motor 😆
Sorry, it got a bit confusing at one point, three conversations going on at once 😉
The halogen (which is what you are after), can you post the voltages and lengths of the tubes as someone may have some.
Dave.

KeymasterRe: Tricity Sovereign cooker
There have recently been enquiries about the availability of a Tricity Sovereign 4638 available for spares.
I have one in Bristol. We have just acquired a replacement cooker so wondered if anyone would be interested in the old Sovereign? 😆
Everything is working except main oven door RH hinge spring is broken, timer unit doesn’t select numbers easily; switch contacts shaky – but temps and timings are accurate, and main oven door seal is stretched a bit along the bottom.
Open to offers, regret buyer collects.

B-1-4,
My Tricity sovereign has a similar number selection problem. In fact the ovens are useless. Are you able to select numbers on the rotary selector?
If it works, I live in Penzance, but sometimes come past Bristol – would you consider £5 to take off your hands?

Stilts
Yes we can select all numbers, temperatures and times, but it just needs a delicate touch and a bit of patience. We’ve lived with the problem OK for last couple of years, and used the automatic settings on a very regular basis.
Only reason for getting rid of it, is because we’ve just acquired mum’s newer creamic top cooker.
We would prefer it going to a good home rather than the tip so will be prepared to accept your offer if you can collect within a reasonable length time – it’s sitting in the conservatory at present!
