    Hi guys
Having a bit of bother with my Indesit WDG1195W washer/dryer.
As it runs through the wash cycle, it stops as it approaches the end of program 4 (NFC) and again soon after starting program 8 (spin). At these points the machine will carry on if the timer is turned on one click manually.
I suspected the timer, but replacing this with one from another machine hasn’t solved the problem.
I’d be grateful for any ideas

Doesn’t seem very logical – I think I’d start with the water level pressure switch. Had a good few of these fail over the years.

Power off, count the wires on the switch. 2 or 3 is a single level switch, more is a two level switch. If you gently pressurise it, you should hear the switch “click” over an appropriate number of times. If the switch is working, the collecting bell may be choked with crud. Follow the small air hose down under the machine and see if the air bell is choked with accumulated crud.

    Thanks, Penguin.
I checked the level switch- it was 2 level – and it works fine(checked with meter). There was some crud in the pipe. but not a huge amount. Unfortunately the problem remains. What about the PCB? Could a fault here account for the problem?
    Thanks for your help.

Seem to have cured the problem! Looks like you were right ‘cos the level switch was iffy – bad contacts making it work eratically. This became apparent when I had a minor flood!)
Thanks again, penguin for your help!
