    Hi,

My tumble dryer vents through the wall directly onto next-door’s patio area and he has started kicking up a fuss if we have to run it when he is in the garden. Fair enough, I wouldn’t like it either but sometimes we need to get that urgent bit of drying done.
I’ve had the idea of opening up another of the dryers vent outlets and connecting it up to a condenser box. But I want to be able to switch between the external vent and the box – we have a lot of condensation problems and the last thing I want is to use this as a permanent solution.
Does anyone know if its possible to buy a “shutter” that I can mount in-line with the external duct so I can cut it off whenever one of my kids decides that they need of clothing dry at 10 minutes notice and next door is outside having a beer watching the sun go down?

    Cheers

    Irvin

I can’t think of anything “off the shelf” to do the job, Irvin. Time to get the saw and plywood out?
