I have a tumble dryer and the drum revolves OK but it is not heating. I have measured the resistance of the heating element with a meter approx 25ohms– is this correct? Anyhow, there has been burning on one of what looks like two small thermostats mounted to the element side plate. With one of the connectors pulled off the machine works as normal but only blowing cold air out of exhaust duct.
I have tried the machine with the connectors off and on the thermostats but it still seems to be only cold air.
Incidentally the machine is a Whirlpool AWZ 220 (070126 510068)
Any ideas.
