any idea how often this model should reverse.
it came into the workshop for no drum action. sure enough it heated but no drum action, as i was testing power to motor it started to turn. i have seen this fault before and i changed the reverse relay, now it doesnt seem to reverse. maybe its a timer fault after all.
any other help would be good.

The timer does the reversing, the relay just the heat as far as I recall? So the timer the likely culprit I reckon? 😕

Reverse relay???? The relay is nothing to do with the reversing, its a safety device to stop small rugrats climbing inside after switching the timer on and closing the door on themselves, of course it doesn’t stop one climbing in and then another one starting it but hey ho. 🙂

This one has not got the small reversing timer in the base so main timer looks like the culprit.

It should tumble for a few seconds in an anti clockwise direction ( from front) then ten to fifteen minutes or more in a clockwise direction, not sure of exact time without checking manual.

    spot on jim

it seems to take an age for these babies to reverse, and when they do, they reverse for just a few seconds

let it run for 30 mins to confirm, if not, its the timer
