Two Hotpoint Frost Free question

Hi,
Have two i have defrosted that are coming back after 2 months.

One is a FF200E that looks like its not quite doing a defrost before freezing up again. Have read about a upgraded heater kit, anyone fitted this?

The other is a FF175BP, more concerned about this.
The ice is all around the edge of the evap, more soft in nature and as its done it twice assume its not the door left open. Is this likely to be a system fault?

From memory (on the wrong computer for checking) the new heater on the FF200E extends below the bottom of the evaporator as that is where the ice build up starts, I have fitted a couple of these and they are not too difficult to do just a pain when the thing is still freezing cold, if you send me an e-mail address then I can send you the info (assuming that my memory is correct).

FF175BP – Not sure I can help you on this one so will leave it for someone else.

Will order the new defrost element.

Probably won’t get involved in the other one as i think its a system fault.
