U1442N0GB/01 ? NEFF COOKER

The fan on this cooker will not turn off unless the main power switch is off.
can any one help please

you need to expand on that

1 which fan cooling fan or the one in the oven

2 which switch are you talking about the one on the wall that cuts the power to the whole oven or the knob that controls the oven ?

well from what I think your saying is when power is applied to the fan you cant turn it but when you turn power off you can turn it easily by hand

if yes sounds like the bearings on the fan motor have failed and the unit will need to be changed

No, The only way to turn the cooling fan off is by the switch on the wall also when the fan is running the cooker will not work at all .

this is a very simple cooker compared to the modern ones

1 there is thermostat just for the fan that cuts in and keeps it running till things cool down. this stat may have failed

2 when you switch back on the oven wont work unless you set the clock. did you do this

Havant seen cooker yet but have been told it hasn’t got a LED clock.
so would you say stat ?.

It has got an electronic clock and if he sets the clock the cooker will work but the cooling fan stays on until cooker is switched off on wall is this the thermal limiter.
many thanks for all your help and it was his wife that told me it had a clock.
