ParticipantYou may have seen various articles yesterday relating to a huge fridge mountain in Manchester in some of the daily newspapers and a news article on the BBCi website here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manc … 037821.stm
There is also a story on the front page of UKW relating to this.
Well, late yesterday afternoon, our very own Ken had a call to his office from a BBC investigative journalist and they held a 25 minute conversation on the subject of refrigeration disposal and other related topics with a view to using the comments in a related article to be published today, which was on the BBC site as of 1.30 pm.
UKW and Ken are mentioned in the article along with Ken’s comments and they have put a link alongside the article to UKW as well 😀
The article is here:

The site suddenly got a bit busy this afternoon for some reason 😉

Is “no Brainer” an official BBC term now then Ken? Good article.

KeymasterMe and me big mouth eh? 😕
“no brainer” is an official UKW term to be used as you see fit. 😉
Right folks, let’s make hay while the sun shines as they say since I’ve just had Channel 4 on the phone wanting to know about the directories. If you agree to comply with the UKW Charter, which let’s face it isn’t exactly difficult, then please get your details in there and make the most of the free advertising that you can get.
UKW isn’t making money out of that at all and I don’t want money for it, but I do want to see you guys getting a decent shout out of the work we’ve all put in.

I think that it might be that you are enlightening the general populice with technical term’s that they can actually understand i.e. “crap” which some of our number mistook for a comparison to fecal excrement when we all know that you were using the well known trade acronim for chronically reprehensible appliance parts. 😆
Might be a nice one to keep up your sleeve when the politically correct numpty’s arrive on the sceene 😉

KeymasterLOL, bring them on I say. Politically correct, in my judgement, is for people that work for government and they’re always a bit of fun. 😉
