Do we/you have a policy on addressing posts/unanswered posts?
i.e.
24hr turnaround
Post answer regardless to remove from “unanswered posts”
Reply with “can’t answer”

Not as such – it’s rare that no-one gets any response at all. It may be “Hold on”, but at least they know we noticed.

We try to answer them all, even if it’s with a “no idea” answer ASAP and, to be fair on ourselves, there’s hardly any that go unanswered, in fact not one that I am aware of.
But there’s no set policy, it just seems to work.

Interesting – I make it 27 for June – 11 in the Public Forums, so ought to be dealt with for appearances sake. One of those is a locked forum header.
The trade ones seem to be a few funnies, some “info posts” (no reply required) – not much not getting answered really.

I do tend to eek these out and give them some kind of reply seeing as I am never quick enough to answer most of the others. As for Asko post, I would have answered had I had my tech info with me at home, a situation that will change soon.

Anyway the Asko becnchtop one can hardly be described as an un answered post within only 7 hours or so, especially as it was posted about the time we are winding down at work on a Friday.

Out of the trade and public forums there are 5709 topics, unanswered posts 345, even without taking away the one’s that don’t need a reply (stickys, announcements etc) and other forums where a reply would not be expected (admin, dasa etc) that’s not bad considering.
Around 6{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the total so I reckon it’s around 2{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} overall unanswered in the public forums 😀
