Unicorn Poo will not do.

I am not sure who first instigated the use of the phrase ‘Unicorn Poo’ to infer that something was rubbish or poor quality but it actually means nothing of the sort. It does seem to be something endemic on UKWG’S and is not something that is widespread elsewhere. The phrase Unicorn Poo means the same as Rocking Horse droppings, the Unicorn is a mythical beast, it does not really exist therefore if a Unicorn does not exist then neither can its Poo.
The phrase Unicorn Poo should only be used to describe something that is, untrue, impossible, unreal, non existent etc.

It does not mean something is rubbish, garbage, c.r.a.p or any of the other words that can be used.
Unicorn Poo has appeared two or three times today and is being used totally out of context. :rolls:

Oh yeah, I am to blame.

It was all I could think of in the moment as the phrase had been overused and used in public forums.

Other websites that are associated with the trade especially other repair help sites have posts that include the phrase. On ‘diynot’ and ‘just answer’ I’ve spotted a few which undoubtedly means someone is using the ‘copy & paste’ facility. So if the expression is unique to UKW then their trade members posts are getting spread further afield in the process.

TBH there lots of common or well known phrases that are used completely out of context, its just that one has crept in recently and I just thought I would point out its misuse. 😀 8)
