Looking to replace this in a Neff unit. Connections to the thermostat are different and can’t see a wiring diagram on the site for the Universal part.
Neff uses two connections to the ends of the elements and a single common through the thermostat.
Universal description follows (apologies, just couldn’t get a usable 19.5K image to upload)
With unit upside down, there are four options for connection.
Left side of therm. 4(1a) and 2(2a).
Right side (2b)S and (1b)H
4(1a) is permanently connected to the elements so I don’t want that one.
2(2a) is connected when cold (and no I haven’t tested hot!), so I am assuming that this is probably the one as current needs to flow when cold.
(2b)S & (1b)H don’t measure any resistance either between them or between them and the other two. I am assuming therefore that these have some other purpose.
However all that assumes this is a simple thermostat in the ceramic blob.
Can anyone confirm that 2(2a) is what I want for normal turn off when hot operation.
…and as I’m interested now, anyone know what are the other two used for?
Thanks.
