Is there only one circulation motor for this dishwasher. Just recieved a 4812361526 and I am not certain it is the same. I will admit that I did not pull the seriously built in 😥 machine out at the time, and peering underneath trying to see right to the back is not the best way. I just think that the pump was at the opposite end to the motor plug on the machine I looked at and it is on the same end on this new one. Of course it could just be my advancing years playing tricks with me. 🙂

If the model has /1 on the end then yes, it’s different. That would have a large Askol type motor in it but they don’t leak (very often) so I think you should be OK 😀

This is turning into a bit of a disaster, my suspicions about it being the wrong pump where correct, although there is no /1 anywhere to be seen on the machine.
What kind of bonehead idiots design these things. The leak is coming from a small hose from the circulation pump to the dishwasher sump that has split. It is fixed to the sump by one of those awful clips which is bad enough, but at the other end it is moulded onto the pump outlet. 👿 It seems as though I will have to replace the whole pump for a two inch piece of rubber hose.
Has anyone encountered this fault and managed to find a small hose that would fit, I did manage to remove most of it from the pump by gouging, and cutting it off.I now need part number for Askoll pump, and if anyone wants a new, boxed 4812361526 circulation pump, I just happen to have one to hand. 😥

There is no other way than replacing the whole pump,it is a very common fault on the whirlpool built in d/washers,don’t have a part nu.but it is quite an expensive part and not easy to replace without getting a leak,so watch out for that one.I will have a look,I might have one of them, just need to check for a part number.
Cheers

Just received a motor/pump, kindly sent to me by tintin, it has the part number 481236158334, but it is a CESET induction motor, not an ASKOLL. It does have the little moulded rubber hose attached. Can anyone confirm that this is a direct replacement for the Askoll. Its a long way to go again with the wrong pump. 😉

Hi Iadom
I personally dont fit the askoll type motors, the metal Ceset one is a direct replacement.

Fitted new circulation pump an hour ago. Switched on. Neon 3, 50° wash illuminated. I could not cancel or select any other programmes, even pressing start for over 2 seconds did not clear.
Closed the door and the machine seems to be working perfectly, drain, fill, circulate.
I did not have time to wait until it had completed this cycle.
Is there a reset procedure after an error has occurred, will the machine reset after completing this cycle, or have I got another problem. 😥

It sounds as if it was half way through a cycle or it’s in test mode.
It should finish and be OK but if not holding the start button should reset it 😕
Odd one really.
Dave.
