Unknown error code Diplomat 8224

Hi,

This is the same machine that I have sent a post in about before, but a different problem. Original problem still not resolved, but my freind said that she has got an error code on it now that isn’t in the book?? 😕

Basically it’s 3 wavy lines(possibly something to do with heating maybe??), but has a cross through it; then next to that it reads 1/2??

Anybody any ideas??

3 wavey lines with a cross is drying cycle turned off. 1/2 is half load – probably no circulation to top basket.

Can I be a pain and ask, is it worth getting this machine repaired? Original problem was that the arm isn’t spinning, friend isn’t sure if it fills up or not; does think there is some water getting in?? Sorry if this is a bit vague…. I only went there to do a plastering job!! :rolls:

She just wants to know whether it’s worth repairing or to get a new one??

Its a regular fault, but the no heat and half load is not a function on that model so it is best to ignore it as a replacement pcb is a lot of cash.
If you can hear the pump running and the arm is not turning it is probably only due to the the arms being blocked, remove and clean them by shaking the hard bits out through the centre hole. If you cannot hear the pump running then call an engineer.
