Hello. Hope I’m posting in the right place. I’ve jsut got a flat so don’t have space for both a washing machine and dryer so despite the advice in the guides, I will likely have to get a washer dryer.

So my question is what is a decent dryer for one person. I do wash technical running and sports gear, and merino wool baselayers which can’t be dried, but other than that, my washing is standard I think (work shirts and trousers, odd jeans, towels, bedding, other casual clothes).

I did look at spin dryers and the JML Dri Buddy and similar but they don’t look great unless someone can tell me otherwise.

If they are decent, then the BEKO WM74165W washing machine looks like a decent deal at Currys.

    Thanks for you help.

Beko or Zanussi washer dryers are for you. Do NOT even think of buying Hotpoint or Indesit. All other makes take hours to do a wash and dry cycle, so don’t got there either lest you have money and time to waste that is?

Thanks Martin, on my phone atm but I’ll have a look at both brands later. Any particular models that I should be looking at? Ideally I’d be spending sub £400 but will consider spending more if it saves in the long run. I have been using a Beko washing machine for the last few years and it has been a big improvement on the Indesit I was using before!

So Beko only have one washer dryer, the WDA91440W. Looks good with 9kg wash, 6kg dry. It’s a little big but not too fussed if it sticks out from its location.

It got a poor review in Which though (just signed up for a £1 trial) due to over drying clothes ❓

Can anyone shed any light on the Beko issue according to Which? Are they being overweight zealous? Could get the Beko tomorrow if I order in 40 mins!
