ParticipantThought id let my other thread go, Following my nightmare problem with my Tricity Bendix DH086 i have now bout an Tricity Bendix DH090 which is in realy good condition but it has been left standing for a while and smells of damp/mold
How should i get rid of this awful odour. I went for this model as i thought i can strip some bits off the DH086 which was the model before and therefore maybe useful if ever the DH090 that i have just got fails at some point. Rather than go for a different model/brand.
The person i got it from said that it was their auntys machine and she had passed away and the machine was no longer required. Is this why it smells like mold/damp inside.
Other than that its a perfect replacement,
Thanks again for all the help with my privious model

You can buy proprietory dishwasher cleaners at most supermarkets these days. Ususally a plastic bottle with a wax seal that you drop into the cutlery basket. Alternately, run the hottest programme with powder is as usual; when you hear the “thump” of the dispenser opening, stop the machine and shoot the contents of a JIF lemon in (38p in Morrisons) and allow to run. If the machine has been stood for any significant length of time, you may need to repeat the procedure several time for maximum effect.
Don’t forget that the odours are caused by deposits as well as stale residual water, so take the opportunity to do the blue tubes thing now.
Good luck with it,

You are not going to belieave this… 👿
The dh090 that i got as a replacement to the dh085, overfills and stops dead the timer will not move and water starts leaking under the door.
The guy i got it from said that it had been stood still for several weeks, and is adimant that the machine was fully working before.
Why is it over filling, i cant understand this. I have one faulty dishwasher only to get another one.
If i move the timer on it id dead through everything untill the next wash part it only seems to want to take in water, and then the motor kicks in to swoosh it around then stops but still taking then when you open the door you can see water comming through the holes in the rotating propeller at the bottom, but not at the top.
Then when i close the door again the motor starts and then stops again, than when it needs to move to the next part (scrub, rinse) it stops dead.
I know people have bad luck but this is now a joke i have got one dh085 that is broke and now a dh090 🙄
Any help guys before my wife kicks me out (she dosent like water all over the floor 😉
Thanks
Justin
