At the moment, I’ve got the cheap raised ceramic style hobs in my kitchen, Debut by Newworld.

I can’t stretch to induction hobs, but was considering a ceramic/halogen hob.

Will I see much in difference over what I have at the moment? I know ceramic hobs heat up quicker, but is that the only gain? I’m ideally looking for more control over the heat.

    Thanks

It will be better but if you’re cooking to any degree and you want the controlability of gas without gas then induction is the only viable option IMO.

    Thanks for the reply Kwatt

No gas in my flat and as there is nothing wrong with my current hobs, I’m guessing there is no point in parting with £200-300 for ceramic?

It would likely be better, but I’d save a little longer fro an induction. 😉
