ParticipantMy friend has bought a house with a washing machine left by the previous owner – but no manual. The previous owner does not have it and does not respond to queries.
It is a Hotpoint Acquarius Ultima Model number: 1000 De Lux WM23.
Hotpoint’s web page of user manuals jumps from WM22 to WM26 so I rang them and they looked, but were unable to find anything to help me. They suggested I try your website.
I have looked in your FAQs but I think I have done everything I could have done. Are you by any chance able to help? I sort of wondered whether either WM22 or WM26 might be at least some help – my friend is of a nervous disposition and does not even want to turn it on without some guidance! I asked Hotpoint that question but they said they could not tell. I downloaded WM22 and lots of it looks pretty general to me, but what do you think (if you cannot get me the right manual).
I have a blurred photo of the front (can’t read the text – photo was not of the washing machine) I could email; or I could go and photograph it specifically – if that would help.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Many thanks
Linda Gardner

Hi Linda
If no-one else can help with a manual, post up a photo of the control panel and I`ll make up some basic instructions for you.
Don 🙂

The Hotpoint Aquarius Ultima WM32 is almost identical to the WM23 the only difference being that it has a 1200 maximum spin speed rather than the WM23 at 1000rpm. The controls and functions are the same though.
The User Manual for a WM32 is available to download from Hotpoint’s web site.
HTH? 😀

Dear Martin (and Don)
Many, many thanks – very helpful – I will dump the manual for WM22 and download the one for WM32. (and thanks to Don for the offer of what would have been a lot of work, if needed – glad for your sake it wasn’t)… and both of you so quick to answer!
best wishes
Linda
