KeymasterAs you may or, may not be aware, social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and so on are becoming increasingly important in search engine rankings.
Extremely important in fact.
I think that using our little group to promote one another is a “Good Thing™”
So, you’ll notice a bunch of social sharing icons have popped up all over UKW and that I’ve added them to the WTA site as well today. ISE has a Twitter thing and various sharing options that will be upgraded as soon as I can.
Much thanks goes to Ally who has been helping from the WTA side of things and Sudeep who I’ve nagged to death about the coding stuff. 😉
If you have time can you like and share all that you can please?
The Facebook pages can be found here:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/UK-Whitegoods
http://www.facebook.com/whitegoodstradeassociation
http://www.facebook.com/pages/ISE-Appliances
And, on Twitter here:
https://twitter.com/#!/ukwhitegoods
https://twitter.com/#!/The_WTA
https://twitter.com/#!/iseappliances
(Hope the links all work)
Feeds are also set up for both to relay news etc but there’s more to be done in time with them.
You’ll also now see buttons to the right for social sharing as well as the ability to share an individual post within the forums.
In addition there’s a bunch of social media stuff on all articles through the site including the engineer search one, which Ally and I both think that as many people as possible should share to promote you guys that are on there.
You can also now pick up RSS feeds straight to your email client by simply clicking the button to the right for the forums and, on any news article for the news feed.
Have fun and thanks for any assistance you can give with all of this, it’s appreciated.

ParticipantRe: Using Social Media
Just trying to sort my own FB pages and have noticed that only the WTA FB link is working out of the three above.
Also, how am I fixed for linking to Whitegoods articles from my own FB page as filler/info?

You can use the news feed no problem.
