MODEL NUMBER.. BUC11700GB/01 Trying to get into handle to test brushroll on/off switch.. All visible screws removed, appears to sticking where the tool holder swivels out of handle.. All suggestions welcome.. Regards, Gary.
Hi
Its very rarely the brush roll switch. Have you checked the cut out switch on the neck?
Failing that its usually the un-accessible switch in the swivel part of the base. Not available as a spare FYI 👿
Worth checking is the little motor brushes and pcb in the head unit aswell.
Check your email it may help a little 😉
Hi
Maybe the wiring from the swivel head into the machine, or as Greg has said, the microswitch on the swivel head, had all manner of combined switch failures on these but never the operator one on the handle, even had resets blown! Very little availible for them, although some help maybe that they were made by VAX.
My best advice to you is scrap it! 😥
Steve
Ive had these where the cable breaks from the body to the brush roll its worth checking and is easy to do just take right hand cover off the side of the swivel head looking from the front if you look on the side of the machine there is a clip you push in to remove cover there are a pair of wires under there that break .
Thanks to ALL of you for your help.. once customer knew it was a Vax, she decided to scrap it.. Did ALL the was suggested by the way, but COULDN’T ffind the fault..,…
