Hi Everyone
I was wondering if you could help me with this please. The machine is not working as it should. When switched on the suction is so great that the float chamber rises up and occludes the suction opening (as it should when waste water level rises to stop water getting into the motor). So with this happening there is no way that the soap solution that has just been sprayed onto the carpet can be picked up. Should there be a damper to stop this happening ? such as a weak spring ? Its my sisters machine, so she just gave it to me today and asked me to see why it wasnt sucking up anymore. Are replacement waste water tanks available, ill have a look in comet to see if there are any other vax models, but this is at least 5-10 years old, so not sure if its made anymore
