Following the general recommendations I plan to install a vented tumble dryer under my kitchen worktop with the vent going about 4m upwards behind the kitchen cupboards to reach a hole in the roof.
Any problems with a 4m vent duct which seems longer than normal?

I doubt very much that will work as the dryer probably won’t be able to push the air well enough over that distance upwards.
You’ll end up with poor drying, inefficient with higher energy use and quite likely condensation in the hose leading to mould or mildew issues there.
Very much not recommended.
