ParticipantHi there
Hope somebody technical can help. My machine has the above symptoms on spin. It sounds like the transit bolts are still in it (They aren’t!!) when the machine spins. We have had this machine for 5 years or so and I wouldn’t mind having a go at fixing it. I’m thinking bearings but I’m hoping somebody has had this issue before and can point me in the right direction.
Thank you

Participantbest advice anyone can give you is to remove panels and visually inspect..
it could literaly be anything
first port of call is to check if the drums loose, does the drum rumble/whine when turned by hand?
lift the inner drum up and down – does it lift, is there any play?
take the top off, and make sure the pressure switch hasnt fallen off and is banging on the drum, look underneath.. are the shockers worn/broken/loose
youre going to have to investigate im afraid.. plug out of course
i hope this helps

Sounds similar to a problem I’ve had recently. I thought it was the drum bearings (or was told this by an ‘expert’ who I called to look at the machine) but noticed it didn’t make any noise when washing – only when rinsing – and no noise when I turned the drum manually. It turned out to be the draining pump – the propeller had come loose insind and was rattling about when the machine was draining!

if it helps, on several occasiona have come across overloaded drums causing the drum pulley to bang on the waste water exchanger/container. if this was the cause tho i can only assume why it only happens on rinse cycles due to the extra weight from the extra water in the rinse cycle unsettling it…
checking is easy as there will be grazing and goudging on the drum side of the plastic tub that the waste hose joins on to. plug out and lid off to inspect.
ps wff2001s are at least 8 years old.
