very slow cycles on a zanussi FLA 1002w

We have a Zanussi fla100w (Aqua cycle 1000) & it takes far to long to run a cycle 1- 2 hours. We have a family of 6 with 4 Kids so it is a real problem.
Does anyone know what the prolem is & how to solve it.

I doubt there is a problem to be honest, that cycle time is quite normal for most washing machines.

If there was a fault it wouldn’t complete the cycle at all normally.

Check the water suppply is adequate and that the filter is clear, if all those are OK then it’s working correctly 😉

i agree with Dave above this is getting to be the norm for modern machines as to gain the A rating for wash quality they have increased wash time to improove cleaning ability. check the water supply is good and time how long the macine takes to fill. I have been to many machines where the taps to the machine looks like it is turned full on but is not. The worst I have had was a machine in an old house with poor supply taking about 15 mins to fill. with most machines these days if the fill cycle is excessive you would get an error code but it is worth checking. the same goes for the drain cycle. if you think about it if it takes 2 more minutes to fill it will add 8 mins to the cycle so it can add up

I can confirm that your timings are normal. I too have an aquacycle. I think the quick wash is an hour and a boil wash seems to be about 3.

The approximate running times for each programme are listed in the user manual – the 40c Cotton wash should run for about 105 mins.
