Vestel ISE5 e08

This customers ISE5 is just out of warranty and has developed an E08 motor error. As soon as the drum starts to move it resets and then after about a minute it tries to do the same thing again.
The forum seems to point towards a new motor but what if it’s the triac? (are pcbs still obsolete?)
Any advice would be gratefully received as always.
What’s the trade price on a motor?

I have had one motor and two or three inverter boards cause this fault. All the ones with board fault had to been uplifted for credit. I was under the impression that the boards had been NLA for a couple of years now but a little bird told me there might still be at least one available. 😉

Thanks for the advice. Will see if I can get a board as the motor tests ok for earth leaks. 🙂

The one certain motor fault I had tested out OK, I suspect the motor TOC was giving out under load.
