Volumes

Can anyone help me?

I’m trying to find out which are the brands which sell the highest volumes worldwide of : washing machines, refrigeration, cookers and dishwashers.
Is this information available? Would ideally like to know top 5 in each category and volumes.

Whirlpool probably No1? Followed closely by Electrolux then by Merloni (Indesit) I expect 😕

I’d be keen to hear your ideas.

The top three are Electrolux, Whirlpool and Merloni as stated but beyond that I’d have to refer back to stuff in print for you when I get back to the office. Or at least in Europe that’s the top three and it depends on how wide you’re casting the net.

If you search the relevant words in the reports section of http://www.minitel.com you will get results for the comprehensive reports they would have created on market size, penetration of different manufacturers etc. if you then search words from the reports plus the word Mintel using the advanced function of google you should pick up newspaper articles about the reports which probably contain the information you want. Otherwise have a look at the reports themselves. They are expensive (around £1,000 each) but free to look at in your local business library (if you are anywhere near London, the British Library has them too).

I meant of course the market research company Mintel http://www.mintel.com not the french telecomms service Minitel 😆
