    Hi,

The above machine was defaulted to pump out because of water in the base. Emptied base.

Now when it starts it begins by pumping for approx 1.5 mins>>>then begins to fill for approx 30 secs>>>then stops filling and goes to pump for 15 secs then stops altogether.

The following prog indicator lights then flash (the five lights to the left of the selector button). Left to Right I have numbered 1-5.

1-2-3 lights flash, 4 is off and 5 is on.

If I switch off at the on/off switch then switch on then:
1-2-3 are off and 4-5 flash.

If I press the selector switch I can go on to select a prog but then the whole sequence happens again.

Not knowing the start sequence for this machine but I suspect that the recirc motor should cut in after it has begun filling and the machine is detecting that it is`nt and going into fault mode.

But then again I maybe wrong 😕

    Any insights would be helpful.

    Laurence

It’s a SMEG in a frock – check Error Codes at the top of this forum.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the pointer, if the table is the one by dena89 on the following page:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … c&start=30

This does not appear to indicate any of the flashing light sequences.

None of those sequences are “real” fault codes which means either, it needs resetting, the PCB is goosed or quite often the dispenser solenoid is s/c or o/c which sends the PCB in to unknown errors.

    Thanks Dave,

Can you tell me what the reset procedure is?

Open the door with the power off. Switch on and press the start/pause button 4 times within 3 seconds, switch off.

That normally does it, you may have to try it more than once though 😉

    Dave.
