w123 uk water inlet problem

    went to a customer to find there was no water going into the machine
    the door is locking i tested for power to the valves could not get a reading but not sure if u can get a reading i also checked the board for damage found none.
    any suggestions would be great cheers.

    use volt stick to test power going to valve coil if not could be a pressure switch problem but unlikely

    I don’t like those testers, I use a multimeter to check .
    Volt stick only shows phase, you need phase & neutral for solenoid to operate.

    Hi, is this the Indesit W123UK? if it is, may well be motor/brushes gone, the prog will be accepted, the door will lock but nothing more ie. no fill, have you tried just a spin prog to check the motor?

    Drain pump out of circuit will also prevent fill.

    got no spin will give the motor/brushes a check

    did check for phase & neutral phase at the solenoid and neutral at the mains filter is this right

    My point was that a volt stick will show power if there is a phase at solenoid, if there is no neutral there solenoid won’t work.
