had a look at this one today.drum reluctant to turn even when empty.motor groaning when trying to turn.checked brushes and meggered motor.still on initial carbons(50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d})meggered out fine.am i looking at board fault.machine is jan 2011.board connections seem to be ok.no sign of burning on board.paul

Does the motor run OK with the belt off?

Yes it runs with belt off.’it will turn with belt on once or twelve and then start slowing down. Thanks for reply.

Then it’s the drum at fault and not the motor, something caught in it maybe?

Struggle to think it’s the drum Martin. Had reason to take belt off twice and span drum by hand both times to align belt on pulley. Bloody predictive text(once or twelve)Paul
