ParticipantHi Our fridge just developed a warm spot in the middle of the right hand wall in the refrigerator compartment (which is above the freezer compartment). The warm spot is directly below the light / temp control box. Overall the fridge is still cool, and freezer seems fine.
The fridge is a Liebherr CUP sl 3021
I did a search and looked at the sticky, but couldn’t find anything to address thisThanks for any help!

KeymasterI’d need the service number to check but it sounds like the anti-condensate line and if so it’s normal and of no concern.

KeymasterAll I can think on is the light not switching off, a possibility or the aforementioned anti-condensate line.
Prove the light by pressing the switch and see if it goes off, it if doesn’t, there’s your problem.
If it does I wouldn’t be too concerned as all that’s there are the light and a thermostat and aside from stripping that all out to look you can’t go any further but it sounds like a non-problem on the pace of it.

ParticipantIt will be the winter mode heater, it is activated by the cool plus switch, it is designed to warm the area just below the thermostat housing to ensure the thermostat brings the compressor back on in low ambient temperatures, it is only used if the room temperature is too cold, if its not just flick the cool plus switch to 0.

ParticipantThanks for the responses. I have been away, so only just checked the light. It does switch off. Have tried flicking the Cool Plus switch to 0, and will see what happens.

ParticipantFlicking the CoolPlus switch seems to have worked – thanks! Can’t remember if I ever changed it in the first place… Again thanks for the help

ParticipantYou are welcome, on some versions with a winter heater it comes on automatically, controlled by an ambient sensor, Ken was also correct as some versions use the light as the heater by staying on at half power when the cool plus is turned on, bright when door open, dim when door closed.
