Went to washing machine, No hot in,
Fitted “y” hose to cold hose, No water in , Checked water by unscrewing connection between hoses= OK?
Found new “Y” Hose was completely blocked. Manafacturing fault
I will be blowing through them before fitting in future.

Part numbers and suppliers all here

Reminds me of a Beko WM a few years back. I went back on a recall after a very junior young engineer had been out and fitted a new sump hose/pressure pipe. Place was flooded….

Correct part and fitted correctly ok, however, there was a blockage on the pressure pipe side. Manufacturing fault, just completely blocked and was never going to activate the p/s. Eng had fitted it quickly, checked for water tightness and off to next job…

That one cost a few pennies….

PS Twas not me before you ask…

a good way to avoid that is always do a fill and empty test after working on washers, i learnt that after getting down the road and recieving a call back for flooding its not foolproof but well worth doing
