Having fitted 7 of these and 6 have resulted in no spin. blown armatures and module and burning smells on wash.
Carbon holders plastic is not heat resistant and melts around brush jamming carbon In after 2 washes.
Similar to some white hotpoint carbon brushes of old.
If needs be I recommend fitting customers old plastic casing around new insert.
Hope it saves you guys a lot of bother!
    Regards

I have got more and more disillusioned with non gen parts. where possible i will use the gen parts

In the case of Car99 i use C00311010

its cheaper in the long run as i dont get call backs

I dont know if its Qualtex trying to make more profit, Bad chinese parts or Qualtex lowering quality because some engineers are greedy and want the cheapest parts possible so qualtex is just providing a service
What I would like to see is a range of premium alternative parts so we could trust the quality

Hi Simon, My name is David and I work for Qualtex, upon reading your post I have passed the information on to our purchasing team and they would like to do a full investigation. I have sent you a private message with more details.

Hi David glad you picked this up

    to add to it

car 93 the angle on the end of the brush is slightly out and they spark badly unless you take emery paper to the heel of the brush. if you dont do it the heel of the brush contact the armature leaving a gap under the brush. if you emery the brush the middle of the face contacts the armature

car79 the case melts and jams them. the plastic used is not able to withstand as much heat as the gen pair

car121OQ the brush fits fine but the metal top wont lock in the top of the holder

There will be others, this is all i can think of quickly but is does seem some of the quality has gone out of pattern parts. The problem for you is you dont hear about some of the problem as i have no-one i can tell anymore. plus if the spare is cheap i just bin it and never buy again

Funny enough (well I certainly hope not!!) I had issues last week with CAR99,the amp connector appeared to be a tad wider resulting in it being bent as I fitted the lead.
I did make a mental note not to buy those again.
