Connect Distribution have confirmed that their stock of Samsung wash elements is mixed up – 17 days after I registered a complaint and asked for a bin check.
I ordered the 2000W DC4700007A, which has different colour insulators, so I guess it has a thermal cut-out. Instead, Connect sent me one rated at 2400W with same colour insulators, so I guess doesn’t have a thermal cut-out. It’s hard to spot the difference as they look exactly the same and come in unlabelled polythene bags
The machine I am repairing, model P1253, is in a 200 year old inn with 10 guest rooms, so I’m definitely not taking a risk with this element!
Connect have told me they will suspend sales of the incorrect elements and put them on backorder. Meanwhile the wrong elements are still for sale, including to the public on 4ourhouse.co.uk!
