WARRANTY ON SERVIS PARTS / OR NOT !?

OCCASIONALLY WE GET ONE OR TWO SERVIS REPAIRS THROUGH D&G. IN FEB WE FITTED A MAIN ELECTRONIC TO A M6015. NOW THE PCB HAS FAILED AGAIN (IN DIFFERENT WAY). HAVE BEEN BLANKED BY GBDOM STATING I WILL HAVE TO PAY AGAIN AS ONLY A 3 MONTH WARRANTY !! WHAT !

I TRIED ASKING THEM NICELY AND ADVISED THAT UNLESS THEY ARE PREPARED TO AGREE THIS WAS FAIR WEAR AND TEAR I THOUGHT THEY WERE OBLIGED TO LOOK AT HELPING ME OUT….NO, NOTHING THEY COULD DO, THREE MONTH WARRANTY….THREE MONTH WARRANTY, LIKE A ROBOT.

I AM NOW FORCED TO ENTER TIME CONSUMING CORRESPONDANCE AND POSSIBLE OTHER ACTION THAT I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME FOR. I CAN 👿 T AFFORD TO PAY THEIR PRICES AGAIN AND I DID TELL THEM THAT AT THE END OF THE DAY IT WAS A SERVIS CUSTOMER THAT SUFFERED WHILST I TRIED TO SORT IT OUT, THEY WERE NOT TOO BOTHERED.

I WAS ADVISED TO RING SERVIS UK BUT THEY DONT DEAL WITH ANY SPARES ISSUES AND REFFERED ME BACK TO THE ROBOT.

ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS ? ANY CONTACTS WITHIN YOU CAN ADVISE AS DONT NORMALLY DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE ?

I have not tested it out but I’ve been told by the module repair firms that most manufacturers will not entertain any claims for faulty modules or timers unless installed by their own people.

I think you’ve now found out what the Rumour Mill has been saying for a long time.

Why deal at all with them?

EMW will repair modules, as will QER and electro-fix, all do a good job and at 1/2 the price if not less. The modules can be bought from the larger parts distributors carrying their particular terms of business.

We do Servis repairs for several work providers and manage not to buy ANY spares from GBDAR.
