Wash Enhance and On/off light flickering

My Hotpoint Aquarius WT540 stopped completing it washing circle instead Wash Enhance and Off/On lights started flickering. It does not spin although it triggers and after 2-3 rounds of spin, both the lights start flickering and the drum stops spinning. Any help?

Might be worth checking the motor brushes just in case but sadly the error code for that combination is F08. That is supposed to be a heater relay fault on the main circuit board.

Thanks. How could the heater relay fault on the main circuit board be checked and rectified. Guidance would be much appreciated.

F08 or an 8 flash fault is something I refused to attempt to repair several years ago.
Whilst the error code is ‘supposed’ to be the heater relay it can be caused by many other things and TBH a successful repair of this fault is rarely achieved. 🙁

Given the age of this machine I would suggest the current Easter sales may be your best option.

If you enter ‘8 flashes on Indesit‘ in Google you will get some idea of the scale of your problem. 😥
