Mike,
You must surely be the last one to use it then because it is no more 🙁
….and even taking into account of the weekend between you ordering the parts you needed (last friday) and when they actually arrived (today) I guess their ‘next day delivery’ ended as well ❓ 🙁

Did their “next day delivery” ever start?

It appears according to a conversation that I heard between a wash-vac rep and a trader that the old site will close on the 30th of this month and that they are still trying to sort out the account pricing structure which still has’nt been completed.
Neither has all the accounts been transfered to the new system, there are a lot of redundancies also which includes the old hands in the accounts dept.
They are also VERY worried about the stance that Qualtex is starting to do and that is to open direct accounts with normal traders and there are already Qualtex reps out there doing so.
They know they are in a deep hole and according o the rep they dont know if they can recover on this side of the business.

Hi all
It took years to build up the business that Wash-vac had, but has taken weeks to destroy it .

I have been a great fan and loyal customer of washvac over the years we have paid for stocklink for probably the past 8-9 years and enjoyed the benefits, although not having a shop counter anymore has taken some of the need away. but I always felt it was good service and what you saw is what you got.
I have known our local rep for ten years and come to think of him as a friend, but I am at a loss to work out the new website, just cannot do it..
I found a part on connect (which was out of stock – not a problem it happens), swapped to parts centre and tried, no chance just could not do it. I reverted to the washvac.com old password and bingo placed my order. deliveries today no chance it was out of stock..
My advise to washvac, take Bob from eurorealm out for a big dinner, get him very drunk  and ask him to get the customers back..via stocklink.I bet connect are rolling over laughing at present. :rotl:
Its not down to price its all about having what you need, when needed and being able to find it.. They really have gone back 10 years or more, but I guess thats progress. 😥August 25, 2005 at 2:43 pm #145746Martin

Since my last posting on the subject today (which I have deleted since receiving a phone call from the powers that be at Parts Center 🙂 )
Here is an official up-date: –
Those that continue to enjoy their STOCKLINK software are advised to up-date on or before Tuesday August 30th (up-dating on that day would be best) The Stocklink software will no longer have a ‘time date stamp’ on it and therefore will continue to operate ad infinitum 😀
Obviously beyond that date the information will rapidly become outdated regarding prices of course, part numbers may change but the photos and diagrams will be very useful to have on the van for many months to come I’m sure, so that will be a great help out on the road for me at least.
Many of you regular Wash Vac/Stocklink users may know Miss Claire Hammond in their IT dept in Sittingbourne. She is responsible for and working all hours at the moment, burning the midnight oil even, putting together the Identiffier parts onto their new website. She readily admits there is a long way to go yet especially with adding all the makes and the thousands of different model numbers to get it all together. 😕
So there we have it so far and I believe another management announcement is due us very soon! 😉
