    Dear All,

I’m looking for a new washer/drier, as there is no room for separates. I have never used one of these before and could do with some recommendations. I understand reliability is a problem so have been looking a long the lines of a Miele WT 2670. Are there any water and energy consumption data for drying 2.5Kg of washing? As the website gives none. I’m on a water meter so low water consumption would be an advantage as I would probably have to wash and dry 6-7 loads a week.

    Thank you,

    Hi

Miele quote the water consumption for the drying cycle as 11litres for a 2.5kg wash load and 1.3kwh of electricity for the drying cycle.

These figures seem very low especially when compared to others i.e. AEG which states 5.5Kw and 106l for 3.5Kg. Are these figures likely to be achievable in real life?

Miele strive to achieve good consumption levels on all appliances and do produce machines as “green” as possible. The data is from the current 2007 catalogue edition 1. If you want to confirm the info they can be reached on 01235 554455.

Thanks Don, your quick help is much appreciated. Looks like the Miele would be the best bet in this case.
